Henry I proclaimed that an archer would be absolved of murder, if he killed a man during archery practise, but only if he had first shouted "Fast" ( meaning stand fast - or in modern parlance to stay still ) as a warning to anyone straying nearby.
Today, we stop the shooting by shouting Fast to the archers instead of to the wandering public.

There was a good turnout for the White Rose Shoot this year. The weather was great and it was good to see some of this years beginners joining in.
Steve Hall and Richard Cearns were the winners with Dave Edmonson and Ken Mc Menemy in second place and Steve Humphrey and James Philips in third.

It was a Thursday evening so it was BBQ night. The BBQ had its spring clean and the protective layer of fat has been removed and it fired up first time. Even the sun was shining.
