SandieIt is with sadness that we have today been informed by her family that Sandie died yesterday - Tuesday the 29th September - in hospital of Pancreatic Cancer. It was a blessing that from diagnosis last thursday, her passing was mercifully short and peaceful.

The funeral is to take place on Thursday the 15th October, but sadly because of Covid19 restrictions, will be by invitation only.

Many of you will know of Sandie as a great club supporter and a stalwart of the "bent stick brigade".

She will be sorely missed by all and our sympathy and best wishes go to Robin, Chris, Charlotte and her family at this time.

The Club Phase One Return to Shooting

Details
Published: 23 May 2020

Set up of the field is now complete and ready for a return to shooting.

Targets are in fixed non movable positions at the following distances:

1@ 90m, 70m, 50m.

1@ 60yds, 50yds, 50yds, 40yds, 30yds, 20yds.

We've managed to get an extra target across the field without compromising on safety

The booking system is now live for bookings from Sunday the 24th May at 9.00am and is available on the website. While it is easy to use, the committee would ask that until we see the level of attendance/use that when booking you only book one slot at a time - in other words you don't book another until you have finished at the field with your first time slot - put another way, don't block book!!

To book a target you must first login as a member and visit Members Area | Target Booking | Book a Target

Designated Field Captain

The field captain will be the person shooting on the longest distance for each time slot - the use of a whistle is preferable - if you don't have one then voice is good!

Follow the Guidance

The shooting rules and guidance notes were sent out last wednesday and should be followed for your own safety; a risk assessment has also been completed on the basis of these notes being followed. Should you have any comments on the set up please let us have them via a committee member, If constructive and well founded we'll do our best to accommodate them

A Big Thanks

I was at the field this morning with Jerry, Roger and Derek, I have to say it looks immaculate and a huge amount of work has gone into getting it that way - We need to recognise and thank Jerry, Clive, Brian and David for all the work that has gone into this preparation, so next time you see them it would be good to acknowledge  and thank them - that is without any unnecessary hugging etc!!

Best to All and enjoy the shooting!!
