On Saturday 9th July 3 Longbow archers from Sway Bowmen travelled to Eastleigh to take part in AC Delco 2way Longbow Western Tournament (4doz arrows at 60yds and 4doz at 50yds) After dodging the showers and with a stiff breeze Sandie Baigent scored  250, Martin Jones scored 169 and Lynn Lamb scored 72. This was Lynn’s first away tournament so did very well.

On Sunday 10th July another 3 Sway Bowmen travelled to Winchester Archery Club for their annual Cathedral Tournament. With near perfect conditions they shot an Albion round (3doz at 80yds 3doz at 60yds and 3doz at 50yds) Laurence de Wattripont (Compound) 917 winning 3rd Gent Compound. Bryan Golden (Compound) 880 and Steve Humphrey (Recurve) 735. Laurence and Bryan took a surprise 1st place in the compound team against a strong entry of clubs on the day

Four archers (pictured below) travelled to Yateley (North Hampshire) on Sunday 19th June to shoot the Yateley  ‘Open Tournament’… a brilliant day … the organisation was very good, refreshments were available all day and luckily, the rain stayed away :-)
