During the winter months we get together with Andover Archers and Southampton Archery Club to shoot a National Round. The idea of the shoots is to get together and meet people from different clubs especially for beginners or anyone who has not shot away before. The shoots usually finish around lunchtime when we go to a pub for a meal. The shoots start at 10:00am and the dates and locations are: 11th November - Sway Bowmen 2nd December - Andover 6th January - Southampton Archers Look out on the noticeboard for a name list.

This years Knockout Competition went very well with 22 archers shooting on a fine day. The final of the 'Winners Trophy' was fought out between Shona Watts and Jack Anderson with Shona the eventual winner. The archers who lost in the first round went on to compete for the 'Plate Trophy'. This came down to a final between Robert Humphrey and Mavis North with Mavis the winner in a closely fought battle. This years Mushroom Shoot had the biggest entry ever with 67 archers shooting. It wasn't as sunny as it normally is but it did stay dry - just!

A big thank you to all the club members who helped to prepare, set up and run the event.

On Monday and Tuesday evening this week, we had a visit from The Boys' Brigade. They last visited us about seven years ago so it was good to see them again although some of them have grown a little since their last visit. We ran a mini tournament followed by a balloon popping session. There were some good shooters amongst them and some keen competition. The group were from the 1st Havant & Leigh Park Company and were joined by another group from Plymouth. Everyone had a great time.
